BeninMed is a physician-founded medical practice specializing in cardiology, internal medicine, and preventive healthcare. The practice combines evidence-based medicine, advanced diagnostics, and personalized treatment plans to help patients focus on prevention, optimize long-term health, and improve overall well-being. BeninMed provides comprehensive care including primary care, cardiovascular evaluation, concierge medicine, longevity services, and health optimization therapies. Dr. Samantha Benin specializes in cardiology and internal medicine with a focus on preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk reduction. Her work centers on helping patients identify and manage risk factors early through a combination of evidence-based medicine, advanced testing, and lifestyle-focused strategies.

Dr. Andrew Benin, is an internal medicine physician focused on preventive care and the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular risk factors. Known for his attentive and collaborative approach, he works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve long-term health outcomes.

Together, the Benins created BeninMed to offer an alternative to the rushed and fragmented experiences many patients encounter in traditional healthcare systems. Real medicine for real people.

What inspired you both to launch BeninMed, and what gap in the current healthcare system were you hoping to address with this new practice?

BeninMed is something my husband and I have been working on for years. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. I loved being the person my friends and family turned to for both medical and non medical advice. My dream was to one day be able to be this resource for the community.

My husband Andrew grew up watching his grandmother, an immigrant from Ukraine, be a doctor in south Brooklyn. She was a pillar of her community and a resource for many of her fellow immigrants from Eastern Europe.

The idea behind BeninMed is to move away from the corporate model of medicine where volume is all that matters. We want to really get to know and understand our patients and not have them be just another number or statistic. We want to bring back the idea of the country doctor who treats the whole family, someone who understands your ideals and culture. We want to really cultivate a relationship with our patients and work together towards their goals.

You describe BeninMed as focused on “REAL medicine for REAL people.” What does that philosophy mean in practice for patients walking through your doors in Boca Raton?

Medicine has changed over the years and unfortunately the term “medicine” has become cheapened and lost in marketing. The smoothie with 3,000 calories and 22 grams of sugar is now “medicine” because it has ashwagandha in it. Botox is now medicine. The IV drip you get at your nail salon for $500 is “medicine”. Supplements in sexy bottles with 0 evidence backing their claims sold on TikTok are “medicine”. This isn’t new; snake oil salesmen have been around for generations, but with social media and influencers it’s harder and harder to tell fact from fiction.

Real medicine for real people means just that; real medicine for real people. We focus on evidence based medicine. As physicians who have had thousands of hours of training we try to navigate what’s “hype” and what’s “real” together with our patients. Being a resource of knowledge and experience is what we hope to bring to the table with our patients.

Prevention and longevity are central to your model. How does your approach to preventive care differ from what patients typically experience in traditional healthcare settings?

Preventative medicine and wellness is a model that’s been proven to work. Instead of treating a patient after a poor outcome we try to prevent said outcome. Over the years there’s been mounting evidence on screenings and preventative measures that have been shown to both increase life expectancy and quality of life. This is our focus. This is our passion.

Concierge medicine is becoming more popular, but it can mean different things at different practices. How have you designed the concierge model at BeninMed to improve the patient experience?

Concierge medicine is the future of medical care. In a world of constant new information, a concierge physician can be a greater resource than ever before. Through longer visits and more communication patients are able to better understand their own health and be further recruited into their own healthcare. Instead of rushing to Chat GPT or even the local urgent care when something arises patients are able to immediately communicate with their provider for rapid response. Extended testing, expanded communication and more availability are the cornerstones of a concierge practice. Gone are the days of waiting weeks to see a new doctor for a 10 minute visit where you leave with more questions than you came in with.

BeninMed offers a wide range of services—from cardiology and internal medicine to regenerative and longevity therapies. How do you integrate these offerings into a cohesive, personalized care plan for each patient?

Patients will have direct communications with their providers around the clock. In return, we will create a custom plan for that patient. These plans can and should be modified as care progresses. There’s a place for traditional care and longevity medicine to exist simultaneously and it is our job as physicians to find that balance for our patients.
